HYDERABAD: Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Monday announced a health insurance plan for the poor to be introduced in two to three months to cover treatment costs, including chief ailments.

Replying to the debate in the Assembly on floods and relief operations, he referred to the remarks ended by Leader of Opposition N. Chandrababu Naidu that the Chief Minister must have compassion and said that he had never rejected a single request of any MLA for help from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

He took a dig at Mr. Naidu wondering whether as Chief Minister he agrees the request of Opposition members.
