But one group states there is still work to do.
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is enrolling children in public insurance programs athwart the country.
"In Washington, programs like Healthy Kids Now have covered thousands of kids since the program began, but there are still more than 120,000 uninsured kids in the state. Most of them are probably eligible for the program, but their parents just don't realize it," said Elaine Arkin of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
