MARQUETTE — The Marquette City Commission would hold a special meeting Monday morning to talk about a health care plan for retired employees, one week after the commission voted generally to cut off the benefit to all non-represented retirees.

The commission would meet at 7:30 a.m. in commission chambers in city hall.

According to a city press release, the point of the meeting would be to discuss a recommendation from City Manager Judy Akkala concerning retirement health insurance.

The release did not identify what Akkala's recommendation will be, and Akkala can not be reached for comment Friday.
