The study conducted by eHealthInsurance – an online health insurance agency – apprised more than 140 of the nation’s top health insurance companies and assessed more than 5,000 plans.
Fort Wayne ranked 17th for families and 36th for children. The report said that monthly premiums for a child’s plan in Fort Wayne can cost as little as $60.87 compared with $185 in the least reasonable city, Honolulu.
St. Louis was the top-ranked city for affordable children's plans, which begin at $29, while Grand Rapids, Mich., had the lowly premiums for family plans, starting at $159.06 for a family of four.
