JEDDAH, 22 June 2006 — a major training program on health insurance would be held at the Community College of King Abdul Aziz University in Jeddah, a press statement said. The course would be open to both Saudis and emigrant.
The course aims at giving basic information about insurance, the statement said, adding that it was planned to meet job market necessities in the insurance sector, according to Abdul Ilah Sati, professor at the college.
"It will focus on five main topics, such as health insurance principles, cooperative health insurance law, insurance market structure, insurance subscription and insurance requirements," he said.
The course would shed light on insurance companies and agents, insured individuals and firms, insurance situation, cooperative insurance and insurance coverage and also premiums.
The participants would also learn about medical practices and definitions, exterior and interior patients and legal abortion in addition to about different medical clinics such as dentistry and maternity.
