Among the key speakers who would lecture at today symposium are Actuarial expert, Ebrahim Mhanna and Health Undersecretary, Abdulaziz Hamza, who would spotlight the Ministry's role in the project. Also to attend the seminar is Director of Bahrain Specialist Hospital (BSH), Qassim Aradati, who would talk about private hospitals' readiness to cooperate in succeeding the project.
Head of Shura Council's Financial and Economic Affairs Committee, Jamal Fakhro, Deputy Chairman of Bahrain Insurance Society, Ashraf Bsisso and Board Chairman of Ali & Mohammed Yateem Company would also be present. Earlier Health Undersecretary and Head of Founding Committee for Non Bahrainis Health Insurance System, Abdulaziz Hamza, said the Ministry allocated BD 1 million for the project and will spend on an information body over a ten-year period to back up the health insurance system.
He added that the system is to initially cover government and private sectors, though gradual stages; to make sure it works well, before being expanded to cover all sectors and become mandatory.
